Independence

For far too long, too many of our political leaders in Hoboken have been beholden to a political machine which is far less concerned with the welfare of our citizens than it is with the maintenance of its own political power.

It’s time for Hoboken to have some new faces in power – and yes, that includes the Mayor’s Office.

Nathan Brinkman isn’t part of any political machine.

Nathan Brinkman doesn’t owe any political leader any political favors.

Nathan Brinkman is his own man.

Because he believes that property rights are crucial to the maintenance of liberty, he fought to defend a tavern owner’s right to keep his own property against the wishes of the city government that wanted to take it and hand it to a developer through a baseless claim to eminent domain.

Because he believes that being able to communicate effectively is one the keys to lifting oneself out poverty, he volunteered to teach poor immigrants how to speak English.

Because he believes that Hoboken will never be free of corruption and the outrageous taxes and spending that are corruption’s handmaiden until serious changes are made in Hoboken’s political leadership, he is fighting a dark horse election campaign to win the Mayor’s office.

Nathan Brinkman owes his allegiance to just one boss – the residents of the city he loves, Hoboken.
